'Human Conflict' - the self-produced debut recording by Broad (on the band's own Mad Greek Records) was recorded live with only acoustic instruments. The result is a stirring mixture of rock, soul, R&B, funk, and pure unadulterated beauty that sets this New York group apart from the current crop of trendy rockers.

Broad established itself as one of New York's hottest live acts, playing regularly at such Manhattan staples as Brownies, AkA, Spiral, the Bitter End and also appeared at the World Cup Tournament at Giant's Stadium.

Fronted by Lisa Rose, who has sung with Billy Joel, Glen Burtnik, Marshall Crenshaw, John Eddie, and Mitch Malloy, the band moves deftly through its unique repertoire with a compelling vocal and visual style. Between using the warmth of natural instruments (upright bass, cello, nylon string guitar) and their focus upon preserving the integrity of the melodies of their songs, the band has truly become a front runner in the return of humanistic Rock & Roll.

Broad also includes guitarist and songwriter John Zonars, a Warner-Chappell Music published songwriter, bassist Jason Bitonti and longtime New York music veteran Pat Petrillo, who has played with Glen Burtnik and Patti LaBelle.

Broad's 'Human Conflict' has not yet been shopped in the American Market. Recently, John Zonars made trips to the MIDEM Festival in Cannes, France resulting in Production and Distribution deals with Fabrica/Movieplay Records of Portugal and Artbeat Records/BMG for the territories of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The band quickly moved forward with this momentum and produced their first video - Better On My Own (which is also included on a CD-Rom version of the album released by Artbeat Records.)
