This is the debut solo album by bassist Billy Sheehan. Playing for bands like TALAS, David Lee Roth, Mr. BIG and Niacin, Billy had collected a lot of experience of how proper Rock sounds like and he puts all his knowledge and skills to good use on his solo project, he even sings on it himself which is astonishingly nice to listen to. Nomen es Omen and with "Compression" it's no different: it is Billy Sheehan compressed into one album, the full monty!
