Zen is a progressive, heavy psych band from Sweden - three dudes that have kicked around the scene, making beautiful music since '94. They rubbed elbows with the right people... Leif Edling (Candlemass, Krux) put them on his all-vinyl Frog label in '99 and they were subsequently courted by Lee Dorrian and Frank Kozik as additions to the Rise Above and Man's Ruin labels, respectively. They finally ended up on Entombed guitarist's Alex Hellid's Music Entity label and recorded The Sound of Shit Happening with Mr. Hellid sitting in the producer chair.
